Caedmon’s Call’s Fall Tour Starts

29 shows in 46 days and it all kicks off tonight in Grapevine, TX. If you think of it, keep the band in your prayers as they head out to the West Coast with Jars of Clay for these last two months of the year. We’ve heard that the band will be working two new cover songs into their set, a Paul Simon tune and a Patty Griffin tune. If by chance we happen to get a studio demo of the band rehearsing the songs, we’ll let you know. Get out to a show if you can, check our tour dates page for all the info.

Fall Tour Dates Announced

We know that you’ve probably heard the news that Caedmon’s Call is going back on tour with Jars of Clay starting at the end of October. If you’re looking for tour information, please see the new tour information page. The look and feel of this page may change gradually over the next few weeks, but this page will always have the best information that we at [caedmonscall.net] have about tour dates. We will also be adding ZIP code search functionality as time goes by, as well as the ability for users to indicate that they will attend certain shows, allowing folks to plan to meet up before or after the show.

Derek on Tour

Derek Webb is hitting the road today with more than a handful of concert stops on his Spring calendar. An anonymous spokesman from the Derek Webb camp has hinted that Derek’s CD, She Must and Shall Go Free, will be available at all his tour stops, including those shows that take place before the March 25th CD release date. Andrew Osenga to Replace Derek on Tour

We’ve recieved word from an inside source of an unconfirmed rumor—repeat UNCONFIRMED RUMOR—that Andrew Osenga, formerly of The Normals, has recently signed a two-year deal with Caedmon’s Call. Whether this means Osenga will be touring with the band, writing for the band, recording with the band, we aren’t exactly sure. What this means for the future of the band, we also cannot be sure. As soon as we get more details or confirmation regarding this rumor, we’ll let you know…

Finally, as heard in our Rumor Forum yesterday, Guild IV memberships have been extended through the Spring Tour and will expire no sooner than June 1, 2003, the Guild IV DVD will be arriving shortly, and the Guild concert is being tentatively scheduled for late Spring 2003.
