In talking about tonight’s show in Salem, Andrew lets us know that he’s stuck with lead singing duties tonight because Danielle’s at the hospital in Houston, quite probably in labor. Please keep the Youngs in your prayers as well as Andrew, who’s understandably a bit flipped out by singing lead for the whole show. :chuckle: AO, your motto should be “Nine toes, no problem!” Break a leg, buddy.
Update, 6 Oct: At Saturday night’s CC show, it was announced that Danielle was still expecting. You know, for all of you who want to know these things.
I gotta say that I’ve been more than a little reluctant to accept Andrew with open arms into Caedmon’s Call (yeah, get with the times already, I know!), but he completely won me over tonight at the concert. He was truly fantastic–funny, at ease, and in good voice. Danielle’s stand-in, Sarah, was also great. While we missed “our” Caedmon’s Call (whom we haven’t seen since we finished college in 2001), my husband & I were happy with the concert this evening. Yay for Andrew!
We really enjoyed the concert last night – clapping and all :) . I wanted to thank the band for signing our passes for our kids (6 and 3 y/o), they were so excited when we gave them to them this morning. My son asked if they could use them as prayer cards for you guys. Thanks again and it is our prayer that mom and baby are doing greatn (assuming she’s arrived)!
If there is a Bootleg of this concert let me know because that would be an interesting flavor, andrew and derek together could be a neat show!
Jason: I don’t think anyone was there taping it. Also, Derek wasn’t at the show. I don’t expect him to be at many shows before the spring tour, as he’s touring solo and with Sandra until then.
Wow! I wish I could have made the concert.

I for one would have loved to be at that show. Personally, I think it is Andrew’s contributions that are gonna warrant the success of this album. His songwriting, guitar work and vocals have been able to fit into a little gap that existed between Derek and Cliff/Danielle. I also think it’s cool that they still decided to do the show despite the Youngs not being there. That shows their confidence in young Andrew.
