what you already knew…

Track Number: 9
Author(s): Andrew Osenga

what you probably didn’t know…

…as you might have guessed, this is the story of Cliff and Danielle.

…”put on a happy face” refers to the musical that Cliff was in when they met.

…”your handwriting on a bible page” refers to when Danielle borrowed Cliff’s bible and noticed that he had written something in the liner about Danielle in reference to a specific passage.

…as you might have guessed, this is the story of Cliff and Danielle.

…which makes it even creepier that it’s Derek and Danielle singing it on the album. How will they perform in live? Might Cliff get to sing vocals instead? :-)

  2. Lance Orton says:

then why does it say they painted the room blue? they have all girls. :)

  3. bryan says:

they do have a boy now. but that’s not when they painted the room blue. they painted it blue before they had rachel (their first), htey just didn’t want to with pink.

  4. Lance Orton says:

ahh, someone told me awhile back that they had all girls. i can’t blame them for the blue room. an all pink room is very pink.

as a side note, i have a picture of Garett playing drums in my son’s baby blue room (now yellow and orange). now accepting bribes to release it.. ;)

  5. Bry: LOVE the details here.

    Lance: $5. PayPal.

  6. matt says:

I, too, thought it was pretty weird that Derek and Danielle sing it. Any good explanation?

  7. bryan says:

i think they were consciously trying to pair derek and danielle as much as possible on this new disc, just because it had been so long and because they sound so good together. plus, maybe it’s a little “cheesy” with cliff and danielle singing it? not sure exactly.
