Texas in August at Noon
here’s a few shots from Monday afternoon. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have a concert in Texas at Noontime in August has ice in his/her veins. It was brutally hot, but the band played on. We thought only 5 people would show up, but i dare say that there was triple digits there spread out across the property. I snapped a few pics of the afternoon for your enjoyment.

The stage area was kinda cool…but not temperature cool, like Steve McQueen cool.

The rhythm section was on fire…almost.

one more gratuitous band photo

there were lots more people that didnt fit into this camera shot…lots more

and then we drove for 4 hours (and yes, those are the knees of a sleeping webb)

You know, i don’t think we got any pictures of Glenn. We did get to have lunch with him though, which was really cool. Dude is smarter than a thumbtack…or is it sharper?

I think he’s both, actually, hah. :) He told me briefly about lunch, and how y’all discussed how Derek is being treated childishly by some TR Baptist bloggers. :D
