I’ll try to be brief…
I finished my dotnet stuff for the liveblog and walked back out into the venue to discover that the voices i had been hearing for the past 15 minutes were not of the band…it was the cleaning crew.
I walked outside, a little suspicious, and sure enough, the parking lot was empty.
THE BAND LEFT ME AT THE VENUE.
problem was, everyone split up into more cars than we arrived in, because family was there. since a headcount was out of the question, and since ya know, i’m not in the band…they forgot about me. i almost cried to my mommy…but somehow i held it together long enough to call up Andy and remind him of what they left behind.
All’s well that ends well…and now i have a good story to tell at least.
HAHAHA
That’s AWESOME! :)
Great story, indeed.

while you stood there, alone, in teh dark… stranded in a strange land…
did you quietly sing to yourself…
“He makes all things good
He makes all things good
There’s a time to live a time to die
A time for being left by your only ride..
Cause there is a reason, there is a reason
There is a reason”

Hey, Bryan, if you’re gonna get all the fun this week, it’s gotta even out somehow. ;-)
i stayed with bryan so he didn’t get lonely “in the dark” (as dark as a parking lot in Houston gets). but since we hardly got to talk before the show, it was good to chat with him. i was impressed by his commitment to this website. i was equally impressed that he also has a Chemical Engineering degree.
I think that there’s a rule that requires engineering or computer science degrees to be a member of the .net staff:
Bryan: ChE
Chris: EE/CpE
Jeff: CS [I think]
Me: AE
There is no truth to the rumor that Aaron Tate funds the .net to keep the four of us from trying to build a bomb that even Jack Bauer can’t take apart in 24 hours. None at all.
Dude where were you?
CpE. And I dearly wish I could’ve been there.
