The pre-orders are coming!
In fact, many people are already reporting that their copy (or copies) of Overdressed has/have arrived safely in their mailboxes courtesy of Mr McFeely. (Mr. Rogers’ reference anyone?)
The CD will be in stores a mere 4 days from now, but those of you who ordered the disc ahead of time might already be grooving to 14 tracks worth of Caedmon’s goodness.
Did you pre-order? If so, where you at and do you have yours yet? let us know.

I got my copies of “Overdressed Special Edition” today! I was excited, to hear the Caedmony goodness. My favorites so far, “Trouble,” “Expectations,” “There is a Reason,” “Share the Blame,” & “Two Weeks in Africa.”

I got my copies today as well and was wondering if anyone has heard some odd static on the 1st track about 2:43 seconds in? It doesn’t sound like it should be there.

Yes, mine arrived in Florida I think, yesterday, but since I am in Colorado I am seriously considering buying the songs I don’t have from iTunes…or I could wait a few days. But my sister triumphantly telling me she opened it and has been listening all day really made me jealous!

Mine arrived on the 23rd, in Elkton, MD. “Expectations” is amazing……
As some other people have theorized, the date that you received your prerelease may be loosely correlated with how early you ordered it. The first day that anyone received anything was the 23rd of August, I think. I ordered mine the first day they put it out. Does this jibe with anyone else’s experiences?

I got mine in Chicago on the 24th. I think “Love Grows Love” will be one of my favorite songs.

Mine arrived in Sugar Land on Thursday. Hold The Light IMO is the best track. Overall impression is I believe this is their best album since moving to a major record label. The first time I heard them was 92 in a sunday school class with 15 or so other folks and they played MC//MS tracks. That and Coffee have always been at the top of my list. After the first couple of major label releases i thought their sound went flat (read pop) and the lyrics were very uninspiring much less thought provoking. This album mostly changes that. It seems they work very well with Derek and Andrew writing and Andrew’s lyrics are similar in nature to Aarron Tate (who’s written some of the best lyrics they’ve played - never could sink my teeth into Josh’s lyrics but he plays a nice Hammond!)
This album really takes off around the 6th track and if you got the pre-order special release, the last two songs are fantastic. Ten Thousand Angels is really growing on me.
The first song Trouble by Derek has that “i’ve heard that song before” feel to it. I even went back to all their old recordings thinking it had been recorded previously. One thing old Caedmon’s fans will enjoy are the Derek/Danielle duets and harmonies on this record. I’ve always thought they’ve worked well together.

My copies arrived in Illinois on Friday (24-Aug). Thus far my favorite songs are ‘Trouble’ (my favorite song on the album), ‘There is a Reason’, and ‘Share in the Blame.’ ‘Two Weeks in Africa’ is pretty cool as well, but its sound makes me think that it should have been on the Share the Well CD.
I have been more of a Derek Webb fan since he went solo, but ever since then I have dreamed of the day when Derek would return to Caedmon’s! Now that this dream has been realized, maybe I have hope for my dream of seeing DC Talk reuniting :-).

Today is release day (8/28). I live in Fremont, CA. I still has NOT arrived yet - very sad. Perhaps it is making its way across the country. Or, maybe, like CC tour dates, California got left off.
Anyone else not get theirs?

I got mine on Monday, August 27, 2007 in Indianapolis, In. While opening my tasty goodness though, I was surprised to see two CDs in lieu of the one that I ordered/paid for. I thought this was a mistake…so I stumbled over the caedmonscall.com and found that it was no accident–they were running a special. GREAT, now I have that birthday present for my sister!
Thanks gang!

I’m in Sacramento, CA, and haven’t received my copies yet. :-( It’s good (?) to know it’s going via USPS; must have gotten mailed too late. (And I thought ordering 2 months ahead of time would guarantee it got here by release day!) Oh well, I’m sure it will be worth the wait.

I’m in Tacoma, WA, and I haven’t gotten mine yet either. It’s kind of sad, actually. I keep waiting by the mailbox everyday to no avail. Everyone else getting theirs early got my hopes up.
Hopefully tomorrow will be the day.

I’m in Ruston, Louisiana, and call relate to Kenny! Everyday I wait for the mailman to come, and so far, nothing. It’s pretty crushing indeed. I’m still hopeful, I mean, the bright side is that it’s one day closer to getting here!
