Well, in addition to all the CC news, we have some news of our own, as we upgrade things around the site.

1. We already hinted at this on Tuesday, but Jeff Holland has been working up a wicked tour database. There’s lots of functionality that I’m sure that he wants to add going forward, but it’s a start. Please provide feedback as you feel led to on this one—we do this for you, so we want to know what you want to see.
   
2. Chris Hubbs has been doing the grunt work of taking our old song vault into a new, WordPress-powered song vault. All the same content, but in an easier-to-maintain system, which means that we’ll be far more likely to keep it up to date. ;) Kudos to Chris for doing the grunt work.
   

This brings active cc.net staffing to four. We might have to cut it back to three, though, when we see what Cliff thinks about Chris’s post about various band members. ;)

Before I go, let me point to my Flickr photoset of shots taken in studio. My favorite has to be Andrew Osenga playing my grandfather’s Gibson Dove acoustic guitar. My grandfather wanted me to have that guitar after he died, and it’s largely sat in my closet since he died.

When Bryan and I were in Nashville back in October, I off-handedly mentioned the guitar to Andy, who promptly flipped out and wanted to see it. I’ve loaned it long-term to Andrew, who did an excellent job in getting it cleaned up and playable, with help from Todd. I’m just happy that the guitar will get used in some small way to make music that I’ll love and cherish. I think that my grandfather would have liked that.
