Our Promos Are Like Piles of Sand

Friday, April 23rd, 2004

Perhaps you remember the clever promotional item that CC sent out to radio stations when “Hands of the Potter” was going for adds? (If not, check out CMCentral’s story). The band is planning on doing something in the same vein for the first single it releases to radio from Chronicles. The only question that remains at this point is which song they are going to release. Surprisingly, we’re hearing that neither of the two new studio recordings are in the running for radio airplay, but rather the decision has come down to either “Shifting Sand” or “Piece of Glass”. An anonymous source from the label told us that depending on which song is chosen, radio stations can expect either a shattered beer bottle or a 50-lb bag of sand on their doorsteps in the next couple of weeks.

Bryan is back from his trip to Ecuador with the band and he has lots of stories and pictures to share. Be looking for those in the coming days. Overall the trip was good. The things that Compassion is doing in Ecuador were amazing to see. Bryan will be putting his trip journal in the Rumor Forum soon, and there will be some interesting stories about the band in there that may surprise you. Details to follow.

A Banner Day

Tuesday, April 6th, 2004

It’s a great day to be a Caedmon’s Call fan. Today marks the release of Chronicles, a collection of the best Caedmon’s Call songs from the past ten years. Make sure you pick one up as soon as possible. We’re also happy to report that the release of this CD was accompanied by the news that Andrew Osenga has been announced as an official member of the band. (better late than never, right?). Congrats Andy! Finally, keep the band in your prayers as they head out tomorrow for Ecuador and then onto Brazil next week. The band was gracious enough to invite [caedmonscall.net] founder, Bryan, along on the trip to Ecuador, so be looking for a full report of what’s going on with the new record in the coming weeks.
